Introducing Hoya marginata (IML1727), a stunning plant that is sure to make a statement in any collection! The foliage is absolutely gorgeous, featuring fan-shaped veins that can grow up to 17cm x 10cm in size. The leaves are fleshy and dark green, but when exposed to high levels of light, they turn a spectacular red-bronze color that is truly breathtaking.

But that's not all - this Hoya also produces beautiful, star-shaped flowers that are edged in pubescence and light yellow in color. The matching corona adds an extra touch of elegance to the blooms. Each umbel can hold up to 20 flowers, which can last up to 5 days.

Care Needs

Bright diffused light

Recreate conditions under a tree canopy, where plants receive lots of light, but it is filtered through the foliage of the trees above. Your light should be bright enough to cast soft shadows.

Low Humidity: Ideally Above 40%

This Hoya tolerates a drier environment. However, it could still benefit from light humidity care, including misting and grouping together with other houseplants. May require humidifier in cooler, drier months.

Loves Heat: Lowest 70F/21C

This hoya does not do well in cold conditions, so be sure to keep in a greenhouse or other temperature controlled space.

Does Sunstress

This plant has evolved to shift color when exposed to bright sunlight, much like a human getting a tan. This does not harm the plant with proper care.
