This listing is for a unique clone of Hoya latifolia that was sourced from Indonesia. For those already familiar with Hoya latifolia 'Pot of Gold', you may be curious about any differences between the two varieties. Due to difficulties in assessing size differences through photos alone, we have provided an accompanying photo of one of our mother plants with my hand behind it for comparison. It should be noted that both varieties are growing in the same environment, and in our greenhouses, we have observed significant differences between the 'Queensy' clone and the previously mentioned 'Pot of Gold' variety. 'Queensy' has been noted to have larger physical dimensions as compared to 'Pot of Gold', and the leaves are noticeably thicker and less prone to bending. In short, one might describe 'Queensy' as a larger and more robust version of the 'Pot of Gold' clone. As we are confident in the quality and uniqueness of this variety, we highly recommend adding 'Queensy' to your plant collection.

We wish to advise our customers that there may be variations in the size of leaves per plant. While you may initially receive a specimen with leaves similar in size to those of the 'Pot of Gold' clone, we would like to reassure you that the 'Queensy' clone is predisposed toward developing larger leaves over time. As such, we encourage you to cultivate this clone with patience and care, as the payoff of having large, healthy leaves will certainly be worth your effort.

Care Needs

Bright diffused light

Recreate conditions under a tree canopy, where plants receive lots of light, but it is filtered through the foliage of the trees above. Your light should be bright enough to cast soft shadows.

Low Humidity: Ideally Above 40%

This Hoya tolerates a drier environment. However, it could still benefit from light humidity care, including misting and grouping together with other houseplants. May require humidifier in cooler, drier months.

Loves Heat: Lowest 70F/21C

This hoya does not do well in cold conditions, so be sure to keep in a greenhouse or other temperature controlled space.

Does Sunstress

This plant has evolved to shift color when exposed to bright sunlight, much like a human getting a tan. This does not harm the plant with proper care.
