Hoya latifolia (textured veins UPT009) is a distinctive clone I acquired from Indonesia in 2018, originally labeled as Hoya latifolia. However, this specific clone stands apart from others due to its pronounced, textured veins, which give the leaves a unique and striking appearance. After years of growing it, I have yet to come across another Hoya latifolia clone that closely resembles this one, leading me to believe that it is one of the most stunning clones available. Its thick, broad leaves are characterized by deep veins that create a textured surface, adding to its visual appeal.
It took me a considerable amount of time before I felt comfortable propagating it, as I was quite reluctant to prune my mother plant. The plant looks absolutely magnificent on my Hoya wall, where it has become a showpiece, thanks to its lush growth and unique appearance.
